PARENT COACH · BASED IN CYPRUS · WORKING WORLDWIDE

“Why won’t my teenager talk to me anymore?”

If you've ever found yourself asking this question, you're not alone.

I’ve spent over 30 years working with teenagers. The answer is kinder than you think... and there is something you can do about it.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

You feel like you’re losing them and it frightens you.

You’re exhausted by the same argument, over and over, and you just want the house to feel calm again.

You miss the closeness you used to have, and you want it back without begging, chasing, or walking on eggshells.

You love your teenager deeply. You’d try almost anything. You just don’t know what to try next.

And underneath all of it, there’s something bigger you want: not a child who complies in the moment, but a young person who can think for themselves, take responsibility, and grow into a strong sense of who they are.

None of that means you’ve failed. It means the way you used to connect doesn’t fit who they’re becoming. That can be learned.

Hello, I’m Egli.

I support parents of teenagers as they rebuild connection through calmer conversations, a deeper understanding of what's really going on, and practical tools for real life.

I'm a mum of two teenagers, an educator, parent coach and mediator. For over 30 years, I've worked with teenagers and their families in classrooms, around kitchen tables, and during some of life's most difficult conversations.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's this...

Behind every slammed door, eye roll, or argument is a young person trying to figure out who they are... and a parent doing the very best they can.

I don't believe in perfect parenting.

I believe in curiosity over judgement, connection over control, and the skills that make small shifts possible.

From my home in Cyprus, I support families around the world through coaching, workshops and talks.

Why I do this work

I didn't set out to become a parent coach.

I actually started out teaching physics to 15 to 18 year olds. Yes... physics!

But what fascinated me was never really the subject. It was the young people sitting in front of me. Their stories, their struggles, their potential, and the relationships that were shaping who they were becoming.

I used to tell my students, "I love teaching, but I'm not passionate about physics." My curiosity had always been somewhere else: in self awareness, psychology, philosophy, spirituality, and understanding what makes us think, feel and behave the way we do.

As I immersed myself in these subjects, my own life began to change too. As a teenager and young adult, I struggled with my mental health, and the journey of understanding myself has been deeply transformative. It is still the work I do every day, and it continues to shape not only who I am, but also how I parent and support others.

That's why supporting young people has always meant so much to me. Over time, I realised that if I wanted to make the greatest difference in their lives, I needed to support the people who influence them the most: their parents.

I imagine a world where we all feel safe to be who we are, equipped with the skills to build meaningful relationships, and inspired and empowered to pursue our dreams.

I believe that world begins at home.

It begins with children who grow up feeling seen, heard and accepted for who they are.

I believe that, as parents, we're all doing the best we can with the knowledge, skills and experiences we have at the time. Our love for our children is rarely the problem. More often, it's that no one ever taught us the relationship skills that allow our children to truly feel that love.

That's why I do this work.

Communicating from the heart means being conscious and responsible for our own needs and feelings — while staying curious about, and holding, the needs and feelings of the person in front of us.

That’s it. That’s the whole thing. It’s what I teach parents. It’s what I’m still practising myself.

What I want to be known for: bridging the gap between conflict and connection — and helping people reconnect with themselves and with each other.

The journey we'll take together

Every family is different, and there is no one size fits all approach to parenting. What works for one teenager may not work for another, and what worked last year may not work today.

Together, we'll make small, meaningful shifts that strengthen your relationship with your teenager and create deeper trust, understanding and connection.

01 · Space

Before we focus on your teenager, we begin with you.

Parenting can feel overwhelming, lonely and full of self doubt. My first priority is to create a space where you feel heard, understood and supported. As you begin to feel more supported, you'll create the emotional space to show up for our teenager in the way you truly want to.

02 · Choose

Together we'll explore the kind of parent you want to be and the kind of relationship you want to build with your teenager.

We'll uncover the values that guide you, the experiences that have shaped you, and create a clear direction that feels authentic to your family.

03 · Regulate

When emotions run high, it's difficult to respond in the way we'd like.

You'll learn practical ways to understand your triggers, become steadier under pressure, and hold loving boundaries without losing yourself or your connection with your teenager.

04 · Understand

Teenagers make much more sense when we understand what's happening beneath the behaviour.

We'll explore their developmental needs, what's driving their reactions, and why so many behaviours that worry us are actually part of growing up.

When we understand what's really going on, fear gives way to curiosity, and curiosity changes the relationship.

05 · Connect

Connection is at the heart of everything I do.

You'll discover how to listen in a way that helps your teenager feel understood, ask questions that invite conversation, navigate disagreements with less defensiveness, and create the kind of relationship where they feel safe coming to you.

06 · Repair

Every relationship experiences moments of disconnection. What matters most isn't avoiding them, but knowing how to find your way back.

You'll learn simple ways to rebuild trust, reconnect after conflict, and show your teenager that relationships can become stronger, because they were repaired, not because they were perfect..

07 · Trust

As our teenagers grow, our role gradually changes.

Together we'll explore how to move from control to guidance, giving them increasing responsibility while remaining a steady, loving presence in their lives.

The goal isn't to raise teenagers who always do what they're told.

It's to raise young adults who trust themselves, know they are deeply loved, and always know they can come home to you.

What people say

"Working alongside Egli on our school’s wellbeing team, seeing her gentle presence and genuine care when speaking with parents made me realize even more how important is to get to the heart of what both kids and parents need. She has a unique way of guiding parents through needs-based communication, positive discipline, and mediating tricky conflicts with empathy and clarity.

I whole-heartedly recommend her to any parent seeking guidance. I admire Egli so much, both as a colleague and as a mum, and I hope I can put into practice the insights and tips she shares."

Maria Prastiti, School/ Educational Psychologist

"Throughout all the sessions, Egli’s demeanour oozed compassion and kindness. She is an excellent listener, and her guidance is thoughtful and practical, always checking that everything is clear.

Her intention to be of service shines through whenever she speaks, and I would not hesitate to call upon her again if needed or to recommend her."

Nadia Sanchez mother of a teenager, London

"Egli made me feel comfortable and at ease immediately. She emits a feeling of trust and has a calming presence. Gentle and understanding, yet firm, truthful and kind. A great listener, with a real ability to communicate without judgement. She introduced me to NVC and helped me with the things I was struggling with around communication and family life."

Nathalie Kyrou

"As a mum of two teenage girls, Egli has been an incredible source of support through some of the most challenging moments of parenting. When I’ve felt overwhelmed or worried that I was losing connection with my girls, she has helped me step back, understand what might really be going on, and find a calmer way forward. She has a warmth and kindness that make you feel instantly at ease and, somehow, after talking to her, everything feels a little more manageable. She makes you feel less alone and reminds you that connection matters more than getting everything right."
