A SELF-PACED COURSE FOR PARENTS
OF TEENS AGED 10–18

THIS ISN'T ABOUT FIXING YOUR TEENAGER

It's about changing what happens between you

Six modules, thirty video lessons and an 80-page workbook.

The whole method, one module a week.

Back when talking was easy. When they told you things. When you actually enjoyed each other.

Now every conversation seems to turn into eye-rolling, snapping, shouting - or silence.

You're not alone in this. And you're not failing.

What's happened is that the way you used to connect stopped fitting who they're becoming.

That's not a flaw in you or in them. It's a stage. And stages can be navigated - once you know what you're actually looking at.

This is not about fixing your teen.

It's about changing the system you're both living inside.

Most parenting advice tells you what to do differently when your teenager misbehaves.

This course starts three steps earlier - with the pattern that produces the behaviour in the first place,

and with the one person in the house you can actually change.

You'll learn how to shift the dynamic at home without shouting, controlling, or walking on eggshells.

How the course works

Six modules, released one week at a time. That's deliberate. Watching six modules in a weekend gives you information and changes nothing. One module a week - practised in your actual kitchen, with your actual teenager - changes quite a lot.

Each module opens seven days after the last. From the moment a module opens, it's yours for good:

you can go back to it whenever that particular season arrives in your house. There's no schedule to fall behind on, and nothing expires.

Short lessons. Made for people who are tired at the end of the day.

six modules. One journey

Each module moves you from one place to another. The order matters -

this is why most parenting advice doesn't hold: it starts at module four, before anything underneath it is steady.

WEEK 1 · The Parent You Want to Be

From fear and confusion to clarity and intention

· What parenting teens is really about

· Why control increases conflict

· How to separate your worth from your teen's behaviour

· Beginning with the end in mind - the adult you are raising

· Letting go of fear-based parenting

The shift: You stop seeing your teen as the problem and start seeing the pattern.

WEEK 2 · Calm Starts With You

Self-regulation and emotional responsibility

· Why nothing else works while you're activated
· Triggers, reactivity and the shame cycle

· Pausing instead of reacting, in the real moment
· Why other people's children feel easier

· Holding a boundary and a feeling at the same time

The shift: You become steadier under pressure, and you recover faster when things go wrong.

WEEK 3 · Understanding Your Teen

The teenage brain and autonomy

· Teen brain development and emotional intensity

· Why teens push away before they come back

· Belonging and autonomy as the two great adolescent needs

· Normalising resistance without accepting disrespect
· Detaching with love — staying close without chasing

The shift: You replace fear and personalisation with understanding.

WEEK 4 · Conversations That Connect

Language, listening and coaching

· Listening as the primary tool, not the fallback

· Why "How was your day?" closes a conversation

· Talking about behaviour rather than the person

· Asking questions that invite honesty

· When to speak and when to stay silent

The shift: Conversations become safer — even when you disagree.

WEEK 5 · Hold the Limit, Keep the Connection

Boundaries, conflict and repair

· Why conflict is not failure

· Boundaries without punishment

· Consequence or punishment — how to tell the difference

· Repair after rupture, and what to say

· Repair when your teen won't talk or won't accept it

The shift: You handle disagreement without escalation, and you know how to come back afterwards.

WEEK 6 · Trusting and Letting Go

Integration and identity

· Freedom that grows alongside responsibility

· Different areas of life moving at different speeds

· Attachment as a safe base, not a tether

· What is yours to carry and what isn't

· What to do when you slip back into old patterns

The shift: You know how to stay connected while raising an independent young adult.

Who's teaching this

Hello, I'm Egli,
I support parents of teenagers as they rebuild connection through calmer conversations, a deeper understanding of what's really going on, and practical tools for real life.
I'm a mum of two teenagers, an educator, parent coach and mediator. For over 30 years, I've worked with teenagers and their families in classrooms, around kitchen tables, and during some of life's most difficult conversations.

If there's one thing I've learned, it's this… Behind every slammed door, eye roll, or argument is a young person trying to figure out who they are… and a parent doing the very best they can.

I don't believe in perfect parenting. I believe in curiosity over judgement, connection over control, and the skills that make small shifts possible.

From my home in Cyprus, I support families around the world through coaching, workshops and talks.

"Throughout all the sessions, Egli's demeanour oozed compassion and kindness. She is an excellent listener, and her guidance is thoughtful and practical, always checking that everything is clear. Her intention to be of service shines through whenever she speaks, and I would not hesitate to call upon her again, or to recommend her."

"Working alongside Egli on our school's wellbeing team, seeing her gentle presence and genuine care when speaking with parents made me realise even more how important it is to get to the heart of what both children and parents need. She has a unique way of guiding parents through needs-based communication, positive discipline, and mediating tricky conflicts with empathy and clarity. I whole-heartedly recommend her to any parent seeking guidance."

Maria Prastiti, School and Educational Psychologist

„Egli made me feel comfortable and at ease immediately. She emits a feeling of trust and has a calming presence - gentle and understanding, yet firm, truthful and kind. A great listener, with a real ability to communicate without judgement. She introduced me to non violent communication and helped me with the things I was struggling with around communication and family life."

How is the course delivered?

One module a week, for six weeks. Module 1 opens the moment you join.

Once a module opens, it stays open for good.

Will this work if my teenager refuses to talk to me?

Yes - because nothing in this course requires their participation.

Every shift is something you do.

Is this about me changing, or my teen changing?

Honestly? You. That's the uncomfortable part and also the hopeful part - because you're the one person in the house you can actually change.

I'd like to try something smaller first.

Then start with The Connection Reset - a short course for €29 that covers three of the shifts this course is built on.

We've been disconnected for years. Is it too late?

No. Repair is possible at any age. It takes longer when trust was never fully there, and it moves faster when there's something to rebuild on.

How much time does it actually take?

The lessons are short and made for real life. What matters isn't the watching. It's practising one thing at a time.

What if I miss a week?

Nothing happens. Everything that has opened stays open, permanently.

Is this therapy?

No. This is education and practical skill-building. If you're worried about your teenager's mental health, safety, or your own, please speak to a qualified professional. This course sits alongside that kind of support - it doesn't replace it.

If I stop punishing, will my teen walk all over me?

No - because boundaries aren't punishment. Module 5 is entirely about boundaries that are firm and connected at the same time.

What if my partner parents differently?

Module 6 addresses this directly, including what to do if you're the only one doing this work.

Is this right for a 10 year old and an 18 year old?

Yes. The words change with age, the six shifts don't.

I've tried parenting programmes before and nothing changed.

Most hand you techniques. Techniques fail when you're activated - which is exactly when you need them. That's why Module 2 comes before Module 4: regulation first, skills second.

Every family has a version of this season.

Some come through it closer than before.
That's not luck, and it's not the kind of teenager you happened to get.
It's the pattern in the house - and patterns can change.
You don't need your teenager to change first.

You can begin today.
